Greetings and good morning!

I had an opportunity to attend the Presidential Social Sector Summit hosted by the Department of Social Development from 04-05 August 2022 at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre in Gauteng.

The Key focus was to discuss the position of civil society organization and their role in society. The president signed into effect the legal framework that seeks to realign the role and responsibilities of the Civil Organizations.

Attached are videos of my inputs and the response from the President. I suggested that to solve challenges of funding and sustainability of the NPOs, we need to establish social enterprises so that we reduce donor dependency. The President was very impressed by my inputs and feels it needs to be implemented.

One understands that I can not change the world, but I can definitely make my contribution.
